Quinta de La Rosa

The Bergqvist family has been in the port trade as shippers since 1815 and was one of the first quintas in the Douro Valley to make table wine from indigenous port grape varieties. This labor and experience of so many years throughout generations, results in distinguished wines that achieved a worldwide recognition and awards, bringing in wine lovers and tourists. Also the olive oil is here produced with distinct quality, pleasant fruity aroma and unique taste.
With a stunning view overlooking the Douro River and Pinhão, in Quinta de la Rosa you can observe the whole port and wine making process from the vineyard to the final bottle. The visits are on a daily basis, from April to October, and include the wine tasting. And to take home, because hard it is to resist, you have a wide variety of wines in the store, between table wines and the finest Ports.
You also have the possibility to have a lunch or dinner in the quinta, with regional dishes and local wines and Port. In the harvest time, Quinta de la Rosa invites you to tread your own vintage. Feel tempted?
